Prague is known all over the world as a home for Prague Castle, which was established in 12^Th century as the Romanesque Palace. In 14^Th century it was rebuilt in Gothic style and it was done under the reign of Charles IV. In 16^Thcentury, after a big fire of 1541, an enlargement of the castle was realized, and consequently the Spanish Hall appeared. After World War I the interior and gardens of this castle were accomplished in a new style. It was made by a famous and gifted architect, named J. Plecnik.

In our time Prague Castle is the seat of the President of the Republic. You can admire guards, changing near the Castle every full hour from 5 a.m. until 11 p.m., just like near the Buckingham Palace in London.

St. Georges Monasteryis another pearl of Prague's architecture, founded in 973 by Prince Boleslav and his sister Mlada. Unfortunately, it was dissolved in 1782, but in 1976 iSt.Georges Monastery was reconstructed and newly opened again as a part of the National Gallery, where the collections of genuine works of Czech art house.

The Daliborka Tower is a majestic fortification tower, which was built in 1496 by Benedict Rejt as a part of the castle fortifications. Until the 18^Th century it served as a jail.

St. Vitu's Cathedral represents a breathtaking Gothic cathedral, which construction lasted for about six centuries and in 1929 was finally finished. The commencement of its building was organized by Mathias Arras and Peter Parler in 1344. In our time it is one of the most illustrious historical inns of Prague.

Lobkovic Palace is a sight, which was built by the Pernstein Family since the mid 16^Thcentury. In 1627 this palace became a property of Polyxena of Lobkovic. The years 1651-1668 are the ones of its reconstruction and since that very time it didn't change its form any more. It was rebuilt by a talented architect, whose name is Carlo Lugaro.

Since 1983 Lobkovic Palace is a part of the National Museum.

The Royal Summer Palace of Queen Anne (Belvedere) is considered to be the most alluring Renaissance building within the whole city and is known all over the world by its gorgeous architecture. The date of its construction is 1535-1537. The projects of the palace belong to Paolo Della Stella. And it was finished in 1557-63 by another famous architect, named B. Wohlmut.
